Since we have had the opportunity to be out in the community this summer, no matter where we go, we run into someone who has been to the restaurant. They tell us how much they miss our place and the food, and ask us our plans. We still receive emails from those asking us to rebuild and sending well wishes. The hardest thing for us is how much we miss our family of customers and employees. We have spent many hours looking at churches and other buildings, hoping that one of them would move us like our little place in West Hatfield, but nothing has.
It has been a long and emotional roller coaster ride, but finally a decision has been reached that makes us excited. We are going "Mobile"! We have designed a portable 16-foot kitchen with a porch on the back to hold the smoker which will provide us the opportunity to cater special events. We can bring the kitchen to your site and smoke your favorite meat right there. We were often asked about cooking whole hogs for parties outside of the restaurant, now we can provide Whole Hog Dinners anywhere! We can draw people to your grand opening, or business' anniversary or whatever is going on where people want to eat tasty slow smoked BBQ.

January 16, 2008: Papalu & Leslie drove to Virginia on Monday and picked up the new catering kitchen yesterday . It is huge and gorgeous! It is larger than some restaurant kitchens. Chef Seth got to look at when it arrived and is excited to start smoking!!
